Corrections Employees Recognized

North Carolina Department of Correction classification coordinator Turner South was a winner of the 2010 Governor’s Award for Excellence.  He and others from DOC who were nominated for the award were recognized and given certificates on April 5 by leaders of the department.  Shown left to right are: Secretary Alvin Keller, Division of Prisons Director Bob Lewis, Morrison Correctional Officer James Baker, Chief Operating Officer Jennie Lancaster, South, and Deputy Secretary James French.  Not pictured are nominees Sgt. Twelve from DOP earn Advanced Corrections Certificates

APEX - Advanced Corrections Certifications were awarded to twelve Division of Prisons staff members by the the Criminal Justice and Training Standards Commission on May 28, 2010 at the Apex Training Complex.
